“ A GREAT place for Barbeque in Williamsburg! I told a person that I was going to visit WIlliamsburg and this was the place that they recommended to stop for a good meal. They were absolutely correct and I appreciate the suggestion. It is located along East Rochambeau in a stand-alone building. There seems to be a lot of parking around 3 sides of the building. Be aware that this is a really popular place with seating inside and outside. You order at the counter and are given a number that they will call when it is ready for you to pick up at the counter. Drinks are obtained from a drink station and include soft drinks and good tea. I got the J.C. Special which is a bbq sandwich with coleslaw, fries and a drink for about $14. It came out within a few minutes and was absolutely delicious. The taste was excellent on both the sandwich and the fries. This has a lot of business and so seating can be challenging to find like it was on the day I visited. The staff tried to keep the tables bussed and the floors clean but with the number of people moving in and out it was challenging. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting great bbq that is visiting this area. ”
“ I have been going to Pierce's since I was a child. It's always been one of my family's favorite restaurants. I usually stop by Pierce's whenever I am in town visiting family. The customer service has always been great here. The set up includes ordering your food and waiting for your order number to be called. I enjoy the casual seating atmosphere whenever I dine in. Some of my favorite menu items are as follows: Pulled Pork sandwich with Coleslaw, Hushpuppies, Baked Beans (includes brisket and hotdogs), Banana Pudding and the Pulled Chicken. The fries here are my fave. This is a must stop whenever you are in the Williamsburg area. They have multiple menu options that offer something for everyone. ”
“ Got to say that one review said it was a little expensive, but it is not, especially for the amount of food. What we got: 2 cheeseburgers, 1 Jumbo BBQ sandwich, 1 pulled pork plate, 2 orders of hushpuppies, a piece of cornbread and 2 desserts; a brownie and the banana pudding. According to my son-in-law and granddaughter, the burgers were delicious, the onion rings also. The baked beans gotten as a side on the plate were enjoyed (I tried but the weinie slices put me off, flavor is very good though), potato salad was thought to have a little too much mustard. The BBQ sauce is just okay, but I'm from Eastern NC and greatly prefer a more vinergary sauce. Just our preference. The hushpuppies were very good, but I should have never gotten 2 orders! The cornbread is a tiny loaf and we all tried that. I know it would be even better hot with butter. Fries that were with the dinner (nice surprise) managed to stay crisp on the drive back to the Historic Powatan Resort, amazingly so, since they had to pick up Micky D's for the two youngest children. Desserts, skip the brownie, but the banana pudding was delicious. I mean almost as good as somebody's mama or grandma made, but topped with whipped cream, and not Cool Whip, but tasted like real whipped cream, with banana slices, yummy. We would definitely eat there again, which is really all anybody needs to know. Yes, even with that not Eastern NC sauce. When we're traveling, we want to try different, as long as it's good. 'nana puddin', I'm coming for you. ”
“ I love Pierce's. The baked beans (with weenies) is my favorite dish and a must have whenever I go. The BBQ, smoked chicken, and sweet tea are also wonderful. They have a special that includes a whole smoked chicken and two pints of sides, which is great for takeout! The people working are always friendly and get your food out fast! ”
“ I came in with my family of 7 on a week night. It was not extremely busy. The food was delicious. The baked beans were our favorite. It was a bit expensive but the experience was overall good. I would recommend and will return in the future. ”
“ An incredible popular local spot, picked for its close proximity to the premium outlets (and great wolf lodge). Williamsburg seems to have an abundance of BBQ spots, so we picked Pierce's Putt Bar-B-Que for its popularity and location. This of course meant we could not be surprised to arrive to a restaurant packed to the brim, with every table occupied, to the point where people were standing and waiting to sit, eating in their cars, or even taking the food to the picnic tables outside (in this heat??) The line to order was also exceptionally long for this area, but we got our brisket and onion rings ordered and waited until one of these small booth tables opened up. The place has a 70s fast food vibe (maybe diner-ish), which is because it's been around for a while. The brisket is fattier than what I'm used to (I think I tend to prefer dryer meat). The BBQ sauce it came with was very sweet, tastes like apple. They also have their own hot sauce that's a little more standard, so I added that into the BBQ sauce to make it more palatable. The onion rings were bomb. Would come back just for these onion rings. The Mac and cheese was good too. Very standard. Overall, would come back. Especially to try their desserts! ”
